Why Should You Take This Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Class III Worker Course?
This Asbestos Operations and Maintenance Class III Worker training accredits individuals to perform operations, maintenance and repair activities which may disturb minor quantities of ACM, PACM or asbestos material. This course is designed primarily for custodial and maintenance personnel and individuals in the building trades. Operation and Maintenance certification permits the holder to perform OSHA Class III asbestos work only on minor asbestos projects.
This course is for maintenance and contractor personnel who under the supervision of a Class III Supervisor may disturb small amounts of asbestos-containing materials as part of performing routine maintenance activities, as well as how to clean up asbestos spills, repair damaged asbestos-containing materials and perform construction work in areas with friable asbestos-containing materials. Attendees are also trained in the proper use of respirators, protective clothing, HEPA vacuums and repair procedures.
