OSHA requires individuals who supervise asbestos cleanup and repair procedures to receive additional training. The second day of training covers personnel air monitoring procedures, respirator fit-testing protocols, personal decontamination procedures, and setting up mini-enclosures and regulated areas. Attendees also receive hands-on training in spot removal of fireproofing and acoustic ceiling materials, as well as glove-bag removal of pipe insulation.
Intended Audience: Asbestos program Health and Safety Managers who are responsible for the asbestos management program and who supervise Class III Asbestos activities on a jobsite. This certifcation is also required for school district contractors.
